How Much Can You Overpay on Your NatWest Mortgage?

This guide is for general information only and does not provide financial advice. Check your lender’s terms before overpaying, as early repayment charges may apply. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

NatWest says that on a fixed or tracker rate product you can pay up to 20% of your outstanding balance each year without an early repayment charge, and that if you repay more than this a charge will be incurred. For a mortgage with sub-accounts it applies the 20% to each sub-account. On its Standard Variable Rate it says there is no limit to how much you can overpay and no charge.

Lender terms change, and your own mortgage offer is what applies to you. This page was checked on 30 September 2026 against NatWest’s own page, linked below.
